Spiderman and Wonder Woman a.k.a brother and sister duo Thomas and Isabel, are two of CL Medilaw’s superheroes taking part in the Winter Wonderwheels Challenge 2020 to raise money and awareness for Rainbow Hub. Here is what they had to say about the challenge:
Thomas and Isabel have really enjoyed their challenges. Thomas loved going super-fast in his trike and pushchair, and this filled him with lots of giggles. His older sister, Isabel, loved riding her bike and donning her Superwoman costume and red lipstick. Although they faced a few days of bad weather this did not stop the team from going for rides when the nicer weather came out.
Thomas has been able to complete his challenge using all sorts of equipment, from rides in his pram, his trike and even his electric car (otherwise known as the Spider Mobile!). Isabel has been riding alongside either with her bike or scooter. Mum, Gill has also roller skated part of the way too. Gill said:
“We have sometimes found it hard to fit in the challenge with school and other commitments but we did not let this stop us. Isabel has really developed her cycling skills over the last few weeks and was even able to cross the roads and ride in the streets for the first time. I am so proud of both Isabel and Thomas and their achievements during this challenge. I also can’t believe that I took out my roller skates for the first time in 30 years!”
What an amazing effort by Thomas and Isabel. With help from mum, the team have reached a total of 56.7km. They have also raised £280 for Rainbow Hub with more donations still coming in.
