THE SUPER HERO’s: Kyle (Batman) supported by Nicola (Robin) are a brother and sister duo who are taking on the At Home Superheroes challenge 2020.
Kyle suffers with Cerebral Palsy, Hydrocephalus and Global Development Delay after being born 12 weeks premature. His favourite things to do are singing and dancing to old American musicals and go for walks or swimming.
Their gadgets of choice will be a red trike (the batmobile), swimming trunks and a pair of Kyle’s best walking boots!
SUPER POWERS: Batman’s superpower is that he can boogie anyone off of the dancefloor. Meanwhile, Robin can make the best tuna melt toasties around, after her time spent working in the yellow submarine café!
CHOSEN CHARITY: Yellow Submarine. An Oxfordshire based charity supporting individuals with learning difficulties in the local community. They provide a wide variety of services from weekly social clubs and projects, residential holidays to an employment training programme within their 2 social enterprise café’s.
Kyle has been supported by this charity since he was 11 years old and is still attending social club and holidays at 21!
MOTIVATION: Kyle and Nicola wanted to take part in the challenge as they want to show others living with a disability that just because you may have one, it does not mean that you can’t get involved. It is also a great way to meet new people and raise awareness of the amazing work that Yellow Submarine do.
Good Luck Batman and Robin!!
