THE SUPERHERO’s: Freddie, Henry and Lucie, with the help of their mum, Katie and dad, Matt are taking on the At Home Superhero Challenge 2020
Freddie suffers with Diplegic Cerebral Palsy after he was born at 28 weeks. He spent 7 weeks in the special care unit before being able to come home. Freddie also suffers with tone in his arms and has to wear splints to help with the dystonia in his feet.
The Little Gray Troop are very lucky to live in a lovely cul-de-sac were Freddie is able to clock up those steps with the aid of his Nimbo walker or his wheelchair. To cheer him on and ride alongside him are his twin siblings, Henry and Lucie, on their bikes. Not only is Freddie adding miles to his 20 k target, the walking is helping with his physiotherapy. The family are all working together to reach their target!
SUPERPOWERS: The Little Gray Troop will be donning multiple superhero outfits and each day will be a surprise. One thing that will remain is their combined superpower of super lighting fast speed!
CHOSEN CHARITY: PACE is an amazing charity, which has been a lifeline to the Grays. Freddie has been going to PACE for the last 2 and half years and has a dual place, splitting his time between there and his mainstream schooling. PACE have supported the family in so many way they cannot start to thank them. The At Home Superhero Challenge is one the way they wish to say a BIG THANK YOU!
MOTIVATION Freddie took part in the Superhero Tri a couple of years ago alongside his physiotherapist. When the opportunity came up to represent PACE, the family just couldn’t say no, it was a no brainer. The Superhero Challenge will help aid Freddie’s physiotherapy and is a great incentive.
